Mud Kotti

It is an extraordinary item that is nearly extinct. I often hear it referred to as “kotti” in popular speech, but Google says it’s “hutti.” Anyway, this is a clay-made fridge used by the Chakma people. Before the use of bottles, this “kotti” was found in the homes of small indigenous tribes. The pure drinking water from the mountain streams would be preserved in it by the mountain people. It is still sometimes seen in the homes of people living in remote mountain villages or among those who are very culturally conscious. I have a strong fascination for such things, so after a lot of effort, I managed to get one. Then, I added some design to it and decorated it.
